The Cactus CB-60 Foldable Soft Box not only produces soft, diffused lighting while being light weight and highly portable, more importantly it changes the way how portable flash is typically mounted.
By using a clamp design the bracket holds the flash at the flash head, eliminating the strain on the hot shoe mounting foot. It also adds security using a swivel instead of the small ball head found on many foldable soft box brackets. The compact form of the new bracket mount is ideal for portable flash users who often shoot outside the studio.
Compact and portable
The soft box and bracket can be folded and stored in the provided carrying bag in a compact package weighting around only 1 kilogram. The bag is made in durable nylon with foam padding for added protection and has a handle for easy carrying.
Flexible and secure mount
With the new bracket design, users mounting a portable flash with or without a flash trigger will find it much easier. Simply place the flash head on the padded soft rubber adapter platform, tighten the knob until it secures the flash head in position, and all is set. Angle adjustment is just as easy as it works on larger studio strobes, using a single hand grip for locking and unlocking. The Bracket can quickly turn into an umbrella swivel or work with other lighting modifiers with Bowens S-Type mount.
There are two diffuser cloths included which allows users to further soften the light from the Soft Box. With an inner diffuser cloth and outter translucent white front panel, black exterior cover and a silver reflective interior – this soft box produces an evenly illuminated surface on the front panel and thus creates soft even lighting. The soft box opens with edges reaching 60cm whilst the diffuser front panel measures 50cm.
The CB-60 gives the user a peace of mind when attaching portable flash to a foldable soft box. Placement of the flash is no longer bounded by the hot shoe foot mounting mechanism whilst the bracket allows user to set the flash head at the desired position to produce the best possible light.
